The Latest from Uncle Deercamp:
May 5, 2008 - Quickie
Just a quick note before I go back to sticking my face in the meat grinder.
I updated the Live365 feed this morning so you don't have to hear all old shit there for another week.
I added the Uncle Deercamp Zombie icon to our collection of items in the Deercamp Store.
I have some killer pics from yesterday's Nightmare Sinema (Check out my cool logos!) shoot that I'll post soon. Along with a pile of other shit that just keeps getting deeper.
And that's about it. I'm buried. So much so that I doubt I'll get to edit Episode 116 much before this coming Saturday. Wish me luck.

April 30, 2008 - Leftovers
There was a point today that I didn't think I'd be able to find the time to take a dump, let alone edit a show.
Byron was on vacation last week, so there was nothing new to edit. That can only mean one thing:
Leftover Episode.
Yep. It's time to dig in to the Deercamp fridge and start tossing out some off the stuff that's getting ripe.
3 "new" bits have been posted and if I can scrape together a few minutes this weekend, I'll see what else I can find in the crisper.
We'll be recording Saturday night (as far as I know) and we both have a lot of topics to cover - including Kwame's latest text messages and the trouble Byron got into while on vacation.
Lots of pictures coming too.

April 27, 2008 - Kwame
It took a while, but I finally got around to finishing up a basic site for the Kwame Defense Fund.
It's not going to win any awards, but at least it's a site and the links work and shit. And there may be some among you wondering why I bother since the Kwame smoke appears to be settling.
Trust me, the smoke is far from settled on this one.
Go gets you some Kwame swag now! He's Y'all's Boy!

April 23, 2008 - Episode 115
Only had enough time to edit two bits from Episode 115 this evening, but I think I can squeeze out one more in the morning before I go stick my face in the meat grinder.
I have at least 3 more bits from the last recording session that I think you're all going to love. I just have to find the time to edit them...
- Steve
April 24, 2008
I did it! Two more bits are posted! It all adds up to about 80 minutes of new stuff!
|
April 16, 2008 - Episode 114
Just posted 2 bits from the Episode 114 session. They add up to about 50 minutes of new iPod melting stuff...
Tired.
Going to bed.

April 13, 2008 - Live365 Update
I know that I'm behind, but I finally got around to getting the Live365 stream updated this evening. So for those of you that still can tune in, you'll get all the latest stuff and a heaping helping of stuff you haven't heard on the stream in a few months.
And now for something I really don't like doing on this site: talk about something seriously...
Over the last couple weeks, I've noticed a growing number of emails from listeners that are finding they are suddenly being blocked from tuning in to Internet Radio at work.
It's been a frigging epidemic.
This is mostly a result of your friendly neighborhood IT Guy installing some new software on your servers that block Live365 and other Internet Radio portals, and we feel your pain. But there have also been some big changes over at Live365.
As of a couple weeks ago, Uncle Deercamp went from being able to handle 100 simultaneous listeners, to a mere 10. Yep, ten. And our dues for broadcasting also went up significantly. Which really burns my ass.
If you're a Live365 VIP listener, you'll never have trouble tuning in. But before you do that, I'd recommend you save your money and get an iPod Shuffle for $49 and load it up with Deercamp bits.
Now, you're all wondering why we don't just goose our broadcasting package up to the next level so more folks can tune in. We could, but that's just not going to happen. To step up to the next level, we'd have to pay almost double what we're paying now. And even then, only 20 of you could tune in at the same time.
And to get back to our happy 100 listener level, we'd be spending $1,200 a year. Almost 10 times our previous annual dues.
But your cries are not unheard.
Byron and I are working on making the show available in other locations. And we're also working on bringing the show to a new level. But that means dumping our money and energy in that, and not in a dying medium like Live365.
We'll be on Live365 for the next 12 months - mostly because our renewal cycle happened at the same time these new rates kicked in. And then we'll re-evaluate our position with them. If we find that we're still growing with Live365, we'll keep our station. But if what I'm seeing on the message boards is any indication, stations are going to be dropping off the Live365 roster at a hefty rate.
It really is too bad. Live365 has been very good for us. Make sure you thank your representatives for helping to make all this happen.
I know I will.

April 10, 2008 - Episode 113 and more
I was hoping to have more posted tonight, but I think that you'll be fairly happy.
Episode 113 and a preview bit from Episode 114 have been posted.
In addition, several pictures from the taping of Wolfman Mac's Nightmare Sinema have been added to the Picture Proof page.
There will be more pictures posted on our MySpace Page eventually. Probably in the next day or so.
If I can get my butt out of bed early enough, I'll post the music from Ron Stahl that I keep promising. Okay, on to uploading...
And before I forget again, I want to thank Rebecca and Stephen King (lead singer of Living Proof) for sending us a bunch of new killer intros!

April 5, 2008 - Report from the Nightmare
It went down Thursday night and I'm still sore. I must need to work out more.
Byron and I hung out for the entire taping of Wolfman Mac's Nightmare Sinema and had a complete blast.
We aren't recording tonight, but we will be doing a special Sunday edition so we can share our experience with everyone.
Aside from making complete tards of ourselves on camera, we met some great folks: Wolfman Mac, Boney Bob (seen here getting an advance copy of a Deercamp disc-like object of some sort...), the entire Nightmare Sinema crew (that included a former member of Shut Back On - small world), Creepy Clyde, the folks from Pwned Radio on 97.1 FM (who gave us some sage advice - thank you Shane) and several guests and ghouls (we'll get into all that on the show). And the food (supplied by Passport Pizza) was pretty damn good too.
Okay, enough of the plugs and links.
I've got a ton of pictures, and so does Byron. And we're waiting on getting the pics of us with the Wolfman himself. As soon as I have them, I'll post a bunch.
Anyway, since there won't be a recording session tonight, I'm going to see about editing Episode 113 instead. I think I'll save the remainder of 112 for a future Leftovers Episode.
More later tonight...

April 1, 2008 - It's Our Birthday
I have no idea what the hell I have but I feel like I'm going to fucking die. And what makes me feel better? Why, editing episode 112. It's a balm to the soul.
Anyway, I posted 2 more bits from Episode 112 this evening. There are still 3 more bits for me to dig through, but I don't think I'll be dealing with that tonight. I still have Episode 113 waiting in the wings. Cripes.
Among the new stuff is a bit called Live The Nightmare. In it we mention that we're going to be heading out to sit in on a recording of Nightmare Sinema. It was supposed to go down last week, but instead is happening this week. Byron and I have no idea what is going to happen when we get there. No clue.
Really. We have no idea. Mac may just want us there as food for Boney Bob and his zombie hordes.
I can't wait!
B ack here at the Deercamp Ranch, it's time to come to the realization that we're indeed 4 years old today. The first episode of Uncle Deercamp went online here 4 years ago today. It was the "THUD" heard 'round the Internet. Here's the less-than-1-minute-intro from way back in the boiler room days.
To kinda celebrate, I made up a poster and added it to our Cafe Press store front. Take a gander at it over here.
Or see how long you can get away with the Desktop Wallpaper version - Standard Monitor - WideScreen Monitor.
Or if you don't feel like tempting fate, get the censored versions: Standard Monitor - WideScreen Monitor.
I'm still working on additional Kwame stuff for our side project: Kwame Defense Fund.com. Lots more to come. Kwame isn't going away any time soon...
That's it. I'm completely spent. More later this week.

March 30, 2008 - Kwame Swag
It's just an ongoing nightmare around here. And not the good kind that they show on Channel 20 on Friday night at 1am.
No, Kwame Kilpatrick is the massive sucking noise that emanates from Detroit. But Byron and I are not above using this to our advantage.
So last Thursday we gelched up a couple ideas for T-shirts and such that are a little bit more creative than just sticking Kwame's mugshot on a mug.
Anyway we launched Kwame Defense Fund.com and I started scribbling.
As I type this there are a few fairly unique designs there and a couple Got Milk rip offs. Hey, if Kwame can rip off the city, I can rip off a tired ad campaign.
This really tied me up and kept me from getting to editing the rest of Episode 112. And to top it off, we recorded another new show last night (which, IMHO, was a riot).
It's been a rather odd weekend around here with other things going down, so I doubt that I'm going to get to editing much of anything until the middle of the week at least. What will most likely happen is that I'll get the time to edit one bit here or there and I'll just post them as I get them done.
- Steve

March 26, 2008 - A taste of Episode 112
Time really got away from me today. All I had the opportunity to to edit was a single bit from last week's recording.
I wish that i could show everyone the near disaster that happened before we recorded. In fact, it looked a little like we might have just said, "Fuck it." and gone to the bar.
But we pressed on. And we pressed record. And the result is going to require a lot of editing! HA!
I should have the time tomorrow to dig in to the rest of 112 and have it posted by late Thursday/early Friday.
We'ew also still waiting for a few more of your big fat lies for the next show. Thanks to a couple of anonymous sources for their whoppers. You're an inspiration.
- Steve

March 25, 2008 - Lies Lies Lies, Yeah.
Knock Knock.
Who's there?
Kwame.
Kwame who?
You're on the jury.
Attention is nice, but yesterday was a bad day to be a Detroiter.
Thanks to Kwame and his indiscriminate dick, Detroit has the singular distinction of being run by a man accused of multiple felonies. What pride can we take in that?
For the first time in my entire life, I felt personally ashamed to be a citizen of the Metro Detroit area. I was simply angry about this scene (as you can hear in the Kwame's Card bit), but now I feel embarrassed and insulted by Kwame's bitch-boy, hip-hop, thug bullshit.
I think the worst was seeing Kwame (pimped out and groping some slut) on the Drudge Report. And thanks to listeners around the world for sending us their email and news site clippings - here's my favorite from Steve King.
Every news outlet is talking about this right now (I can't find a station in town that isn't). When they're done, Byron and I will be there to slap a big fat bow on top of it.
--
And we'll be doing so in a grand fashion. Since Kwame was caught lying under oath about fucking around, Byron and I want to know about YOU and your lies. I mean, while everyone is examining Kwame's lies, yous can slip under the radar. And I'm sure Kwame would like to know that he's not the only one that's a lying sack of shit.
Everyone lies. I do it. Byron does it. Keep your "under oath lies" under your hat, but any other great lies you've told your friends, lovers, family, co workers, etc., we'd love to hear about them. Your anonymity will be maintained of course.
Send your big fat lies to me or Byron. I promise that we won't ask anyone to resign over anything we read.
--
Well, back here at Uncle Deercamp, I finally got the Live365 feed updated last night late. All of Episodes 110 and 111 are on the stream and about 100 MB of other stuff thrown in to the mix.
And I got to meet my new nephew this past weekend. Which was pretty cool. Jackson is my new pal and showed that the belching gene is alive and well in my family.
I'll be adding the music of Ron Stahl to the site in the next day or so.
Our Nightmare Sinema announcement will have to wait till this time next week. It's gonna be cool.
The (Experimental) Episode 112 will be coming later this week.

March 19, 2008 - Episode 111 and more
It's been a big week here, so I'll list everything in bullet points:
• Episode 111 is posted - 4 new bits that add up to over 80 minutes of new stuff.
• The Store Page has been updated and the content has been upgraded. You can get any number of Deeramp related items now. Shirts, baby clothes, pillows, stickers and God knows what else. Head over to our Cafe Press store right now and bring your wallet!
• And when you're done there, drop by this weekend when I'll have new music from Ron Stahl added to the site. Good stuff, baby.
• Byron and I wanted to send a big thank you to Wolfman Mac and Nightmare Sinema and the deviants at the Dark Haus. We'll have a special announcment next week...
• I could no longer call myself anyone's official "Uncle" after I got divorced. But that all changed not too long ago, when my sister (AKA: Living Drunk Girl) had a little boy, Jackson. I hear he's already able to fart the guitar solo from Shock Me, but that might just be an urban legend. I think he was born a couple weeks ago, but I'm not sure...
No one tells me shit.

March 17, 2008 - Nightmare Sinema
One of the most endearing traits of Detroit is our rather strange love affair with B-Grade Horror and Sci Fi movies.
An affair that borders on unholy. (Long time Deercamp listeners have heard us talk about esoteric Detroit horror icons The Ghoul and Sir Graves)
Anyway, this past Friday night I was channel surfing and ran across a program called Nightmare Sinema. And according to the TiVO, the feature was "The House On Haunted Hill" - A Vincent Price stinkeroo that he probably did to settle a gambling debt.
So I tune in and soon realize that this is not your average late night horror show.
The movie was cheesy enough, but it was everything that went on during the breaks that left me emotionally scared and unable to form coherent sentences.
You'll be hearing more about Nightmare Sinema here in near future. For those of you outside the Detroit area, you can get a taste of the insanity on Wolfman Mac's MySpace page.

March 12, 2008 - Episode 110
Another late Wednesday night and I just got a few new bits from Episode 110 posted.
I would have had more posted, but not only did I upgrade the Deercamp iPod this past week, but I also upgraded some of our audio programs. The result is a decent audio file, but they're larger files for some insane reason.
But of course, they can't make the upgrade path an easy one. And settings and other shit that I count on to get the show done every week just plain stopped working.
You might notice some slight audio anomalies in the new bits. But then again, you might not. It's nothing really outrageous, but it's really aggravating to me.
Anyway, rather than give up and deal with it tomorrow, I thought it'd be better to just get a few bits posted. I'll figure out the nuances of this "upgrade" later.
Oh yeah... Byron and I will be going over the latest Kwame Kilpatrick bullshit on the next show.
- Steve

March 11, 2008 - Stream Update
I had a little free time while I was waiting for a project this afternoon, so I thought I'd take the time to update the stream with several new pieces from the recent crop of episodes. I even dredged up a few old bits that haven't seen the stream in a long time.
Back to work. Episode 110 should be up Thursday.
- Steve
|
March 6, 2008 - Episode 109
It's late, but I just got the four bits from Episode 109 posted.
Hope you find it enjoyable - Byron and I were both a little baked when we recorded last week. Sometimes we're better when we're fucked up. It's hard to tell.
I was hoping to already have the last 2 bits from Episode 108 posted, but time just has not been all that plentiful. And I figure that sooner or later, we're going to need some stuff for an off-week.
In the meantime, Byron and I are working on making some Deercamp (and non-Deercamp) swag to pad the Store Page.
More on that soon...
- Steve
|
March 4, 2008 - Ghosts I-IV
Amazing how someone else's crashed servers can ruin one's day.
If you haven't stolen or bought it yet (and if you can't part with $5 for 2 hours of music, then you need to get a better job), get your hands on the new instrumental release from NIN: Ghosts I-IV.
I know that it may not be "Head Like a Hole" or "Closer", but I think it's fucking great. I loves me that moody minimalist music.
Back here at Uncle Deercamp, things seem to have stabilized at Live365.
The short version is that we are not going to get retroactively butt fucked by the CRB and the RIAA. However, we are going to have to pay a greater fee for broadcasting on Live365 in the future, but for now, it's all good.
The pitfall is that we may have to alter our broadcasting package there to a smaller number of free listeners. VIP's will have no trouble tuning in.
I'm still trying to figure out exactly what the hell's going on, but at least we'll still be broadcasting on demand so you can all listen in at work and shit.
- Steve

February 27, 2008 - Episode 108
Just got around to editing a few bits from Episode 108 this evening. There are 2 more that I should have time to edit this weekend. We'll see. I really ought to just take a couple weeks off and crank out the DVD.
Oh, and about that announcement I promised earlier this week...
We're just going to be expanding the Deercamp Store is all.
Yeah, we finally decided to make even more Deercamp related swag. I'm working on a few new t-shirt designs and figured that there really wasn't much point in opening a full-on store, unless we have something to put in it.
I'll be posting updates here as they happen.
- Steve
|
February 24, 2008 - Update
The Live365 Stream was given a pretty hefty overfhaul this evening so that when you all get to work in the morning, you'll have some relatively fresh Deercamp stuff to listen to.
With any luck, I'll have a fairly decent Deercamp-related announcement to make this week. And no, it's not the DVD. I wish it was.
I'll have to see how time works itself out this week...
- Steve
|
February 20, 2008 - Episode 107
Byron and I took last weekend off so that we could each get caught up on family activities and verify that we still have lives outside of the show.
I don't know about Byron, but the weekend pretty much proved the oposite to me.
Anyway, when you're done cleansing your crystals during tonight's eclipse, go download Episode 107. It's a 3-bit, mini-episode: only 55 minutes long, but it's fun. Hope that you enjoy it.
We'll be getting back into the swing this weekend.

February 13, 2008 - 106 and one leftover
I was planning on editing the last couple bits from Episode 106 this evening (which I did) and then getting into Episode 107 (which I did not - maybe tomorrow...), but something came up today that forced me to go back to the archives for an old bit.
Last July, Byron and I recorded a bit in which we discuss the announcement of a "new" business to the area and the shady practices behind this business. And especially how the owner of this company owes me and one of my clients a few bucks.
Well, by the time we were done dodging the details and I was done editing it (it went through three rounds of editing), it didn't make a hell of a lot of sense. We had to be annoyingly vague (where the bit gets it's name) and I wasn't sure that we should even mention what the company does, let alone name them.
So I stuck it on a back up and forgot about it. Until today.
You may have a similar news feature from your local TV stations, and Detroit is no different. Our Fox affiliate does a segment called the Hall of Shame. The reporters find bad businesses in the area and then research them and then confront the owners. It's all great fun.
Anyway, last night they did a segment on the business Byron and I discussed back in Episode 88 - Encore Tire and Recovery. I laughed my ass off at the news segment and can't wait to see what happens next.
I'm not sure if I'd suggest watching the video first (which you can downlod here or check it out on YouTube) or listening to the bit first. I've got a copy of the Promotional Video that's mentioned in the Hall of Shame bit. Gee, should I post it? Would that be wrong?
Here are some articles on the big event that Byron and I discussed last year: article 1 | article 2 - and here's a new business that the Encore Tire Man has his hands dipped in. I wonder if they're looking for investors?
Byron managed to get pictures last year as he drove by during the big launch. I haven't been able to find them yet, but I will.
And you thought that The Uncle Deercamp Show was all tits, drugs and obscure pop culture jokes.
Well, you're 99.875% right.
- Steve
|
February 10, 2008 - Updates
Got the Live365 Stream updated this evening with the latest bits from the current episodes.
I'm still working on gathering images from the last few years to post on the Fan Stuff page - it's not that there are a lot of images, but that the images are scattered over several external hard drives and DVD back ups.
I'm also trying to figure out a way to post PG-13 images of girls showing their barely covered boobs on the site without getting in trouble. I'm sure that it'll work out somehow.
Anyway, Byron and I recorded a short episode last night that I'll have posted later this week with the 2 stragglers from Episode 106 that I didn't get to last week.
I also ran across a bit from 105 that I never edited. Hmmm. Maybe I'll hang on to them for another Unreleased Bits episode for an inevitable "week-off".
- Steve
|
February 6, 2008 - Episode 106
So many things to write about, and so little energy to stay awake on.
The main thing is that I manged to post three new bits from Episode 106 and the lone hold out from Episode 105 (it's a big one).
For an explanation on the picture you see to the right, take a listen to the Prison Brides bit. (or not, see below)
So if you have a Deercamp bumper stiker someplace fun or silly or just on the back of your ride, send it to me.
And as if Alicia's sweet boobs aren't enough (can one ever have enough boob?), head over to YouTube and check out this killer video Living Proof's Steve King did up. I love the ending!
- 2/9/08 - the powers that be have poo-poo'd posting the pics Alicia sent us. Long story. Not going to go into it now.
- Steve
|
January 31, 2008 - Pics
Head over to the Photo Proof page for a few pics of Byron and I while we were at the NAIAS. Including the pics of the Cobo Press Conference - Back when Kwame was still a stud and a thug.
I'm not certain, but I'm pretty sure that Byron and I will be examining the Kwame Apology Speech.
If you need a good laugh, you can see the speech here.
- Steve
|
January 30, 2008 - Episode 105
A few brand spanking new bits have just been posted. There are three new bits up now and at least one more on the way.
It's late, so I'll post the pictures from the Auto Show in the morning.
- Steve
|
January 23, 2008 - Hope you're not hungry
I really tried to locate some unreleased bits for posting tonight.
I really did.
But I've been pretty good about getting all the bits that we record posted.
I went back as far as Episode 80 and only found one bit worth posting. It's a little leftover from Episode 85: 2 Week Badge.
- Steve
|
January 22, 2008 - Alternator
I suppose that it's bound to happen once in a while. My car croaked on me earlier this evening, and hopefully it won't cost me an arm and a fucking leg to get it fixed.
I have no reason to complain though. My Focus has only ever stranded me one other time (after someone tried to jack it so that doesn't even count). But the nice thing is that this gives me the perfect excuse to cancel all my appointments for tomorrow!
Anyway, unless I can locate some un-released stuff in the next 24 hours, there won't be any new stuff posted tomorrow night. Byron and I just couldn't synchronize our time off this past weekend to record a new episode.
Maybe I'll just post some pictures from the Auto Show... Which was fairly dull and uneventful this year.
Shit, they didn't even frisk us on the way in.
The good news is that we will be kicking out a fairly substantial episode this coming weekend.
In the meantime, the Live365 stream has been updated with all of Episode 103 and 104. As well as 26 other bits that you haven't heard in a few months.
- Steve
|
January 14, 2008 - The Rest of 104
The remaining two bits from Episode 104 have been posted to the Ear Wax page. You can really hear how sick Byron is in the Disease Update bit. If only we had pictures of the studio while we were recording that episode.
There were cough syrup bottles and dried up snot rags everywhere.
Anyway, Byron and I managed to keep death at bay for another day long enough to snag over 600 pictures at the NAIAS this morning.
I'll be adding several of choisest morsels to the MySpace and Photo Proof page probably over the weekend.
There won't be a new recording session this Saturday, but we're hoping to make up for it by doing a special weekday recording instead next Monday.
- Steve
|
January 16, 2008 - Taking The Night Off
Nothing would make me happier than to work on editing the new episode, but if I do that then I won't get enough sleep so's Byron and I can do our annual pilgrimage to photograph the North American International Auto Show.
I'll have the remainder of Episode 104 posted tomorrow evening.
Promise.
So instead, I'm taking the evening off and I'm going to read Doom Patrol: Planet Love cover to fucking cover.
- Steve
|
January 14, 2008 - A Taste of 104
The Michigan Presidential Primary is taking place tomorrow and Byron and I ranted about it the other night.
So rather than wait and post it on Thursday - after the event - I rushed it through.
It's not exactly funny, and it may piss you off if you feel a personal connection to any of the candidates. Just remember, we're not your moral compass and it's just a show. And our opinions carry about as much weight as yours.
Maybe less.
Man In The Cage - (MP3, 17:24, 4.2MB)
There are 2 more Episode 104 bits coming this week.
- Steve
|
January 12, 2008 - New kXcringe!
New Stream! Fuck YEAH!
It's a little late, but there are 4 new kXcringe tunes posted right now! Go gets them fukkas right now!
We'll be recording Episode 104 this evening and with any luck, it'll be posted this week.
It might be a day or so late because Byron and I are going to be shooting the Detroit Auto Show this Thursday (photo shoot, not the other kind of shooting).
And here's a little experiment for those of you that can't tune us in through Live365 or here on the site when you're at work:
It's likely that your IT department hasn't blocked Madcaster Networks yet. So right now I have 10 recent bits lined up in a streaming format that you can dial in to, but apparently I can't link to the stream. Instead, copy and paste this link in your browser. Click okay and drop the m4u file into your player.
You can play the stream in iTunes and Media Player or Quicktime. I'll be posting more stuff to this stream soon.
- Steve
|
January 9, 2008 - Episode 103
You've all been very patient.... Well, at least most of you have been patient. HA!
The first episode of 2008 is posted and ready to rock. It's about 90 minutes of new stuff.
Assuming Byron maintains his delicate grip on his health, we'll be recording another episode this weekend.
And I'd do it tonight, but I'm too tired. So tomorrow, I'll be adding some new music by kXcringe!
Trust me: This stuff is killer and worth the wait.
- Steve
|
January 8, 2008 - Updated Stream
Finally got around to updating the Live365 stream this evening.
Tomorrow I'll be editing the latest show and posting it in the evening sometime. I'll also be posting new music from kXcringe and updating the Dead Evidence page.
Byron and I barely scraped the surface of the stuff we wanted to discuss last week, so we'll be recording again this Saturday evening.
BTW, click here to jump to Byron's YouTube page. You can groove on Byron's camera work from the Electric 6 show and even the video he shot from the Cooper show back in September. For some reason, he can get away with posting concert footage, but if I post it on the official Uncle Deercamp YouTube Page, they get bounced out.
- Steve
|
January 1, 2008 - Happy New Year!
I really didn't intend on falling off the face of the planet over the holiday, but even we get a holiday I guess.
The Deercamp holiday season came to a close last night with Byron and I almost getting killed at the Electric 6 concert at the Majestic Theater in downtown Detroit.
(Here's a video of the moments leading up to midnight [6.3MB H264 Quicktime Movie] - I apologize for my shitty camera work. We had to be careful not to attract the attention of the bouncers. Which we will describe in detail on the next show.)
Anyway, the show was fucking fantastic. The Electric 6 are Detroit legends. And with Uncle Deercamp also in the house, the evening was a double-legend. They just didn't know it.
Byron has video of the first couple tunes, which we'll be posting in the coming days either here or on our YouTube pages.
But the real legend was the drive through 10 inches of wet snow and ice as we tried to make our way back to the Deercamp Ranch.
We also have an assload of new material we've gathered over the 2 weeks off - we tried to make the time to record over the break, but it just wasn't going to happen. Between family obligations, friends that we only see once a year, work that just would not let up, snow storms, sinus infections, strep throat and other assorted drama, I'm amazed that Byron and I managed to get to the concert last night.
Okay, the stats are in on what the big hits were last year. I'm a little surprised to say the least. The stats are a bit slanted though. Since this is an all year list, the bits that were posted last month didn't get the benefit of being avaialbe as long as the bits from last January.
2007's Top 5 Downloaded Bits were
1) The Gay Snow Plow Moment from Episode 75
2) Shit Surprise from Episode 79
3) ByronsTown from Episode 75
4) Chin Meets Foot from Episode 78
5) Fighting Over Steve from Episode 77
Like I said, I'm a little surprised by this list, but that's what the stats say. But in case you missed them, head over to the Ear Wax page and get 'em while they're reposted.
But if the numbers are any indication, you already have them.
So I have no idea why I'm doing this.
The time off over the holiday gave me a little bit of time to continue working on the Ultimate Uncle Deercamp DVD. As it stands right now, I've managed to dig up 8 never before posted bits from the early days of the show and a mess of pictures and videos that no one's ever seen. I need a few more days to get the thing under control and I can get it out for duplication.
Aside from the impending release of the DVD, Byron and I are working on several other projects. It might be too early to make any announcements or promises, but it's going to be killer.
This weekend, Byron and I will get back in the studio and record Episode 103. I'll be adding some incredible new music by kXcringe too. More videos are on the way and so is a whole mess of new swag.
Happy New Year everyone! You made 2007 kick ass for us and 2008 will be even bigger! Who's Your Uncle?
